Chocolate Cherry Mousse Parfaits

This recipe really doesn’t even need an introduction. I mean, chocolate cherry mousse parfait? Gimme. When I started this recipe I was planning on making a chocolate pudding, but what this actually became was a gazillion times more delicious!

I can’t even tell you how good this is. Seriously, so, sooo good! Plus it takes like 3 minutes to make, and you don’t even have to turn on your stove! Feel free to do whatever you’d like with this mousse. You can eat it all by itself, add any sort of fresh or frozen fruit, or anything else that you enjoy. The possibilities are endless!



Chocolate Cherry Mousse Parfaits



  1. Place all of the pudding ingredients into your blender. Blend on high for 2 minutes, or until the chia seeds are ground and you have a pudding like texture.
  2. Layer the pudding, cherries, almonds and chocolate chips in small bowls or mason jars. Place in the fridge for at least 3 hours, or overnight to set. That was easy! Eat up!

    After hearing you on the harder to kill podcast- I ran right over to your blog!
    This was the first thing I decided to make after pinning a bunch of stuff and it was yummy!
    Made a double batch of the mousse (but only used 8 dates) and it was delicious! My 2 boys loved it too (well 3 boys if you count my husband)!
    Excited to try more recipes!

    Do you think this will work without the chia seeds? I just don’t have any on hand….thank you for so many awesome recipes!

      Hey Kristen! The chia seeds are what thicken the mousse, so without them you’d really just have chocolate milk. Still delicious, but it wouldn’t be the same 😉
