Years ago, before I realized that it’s actually a really good idea to read the ingredients label on the food I was purchasing, I would always make homemade tacos with the packaged taco seasoning that you can find at any grocery store. It wasn’t until I actually read the label that I realized that they add so many strange ingredients! MSG, whey solids, and maltodextrin…who really wants tacos with any of that?!
This homemade seasoning is now a staple in my house, and I always keep a jar of it on hand for super quick and easy dinners. This recipe is enough for 2 pounds of meat, so feel free to double or triple it so that you always have plenty on hand!
