Taco Seasoning

posted in: Main Dish | 3

Years ago, before I realized that it’s actually a really good idea to read the ingredients label on the food I was purchasing, I would always make homemade tacos with the packaged taco seasoning that you can find at any grocery store. It wasn’t until I actually read the label that I realized that they add so many strange ingredients! MSG, whey solids, and maltodextrin…who really wants tacos with any of that?!

This homemade seasoning is now a staple in my house, and I always keep a jar of it on hand for super quick and easy dinners. This recipe is enough for 2 pounds of meat, so feel free to double or triple it so that you always have plenty on hand!

If you’re looking for an awesome recipe to make with this seasoning, check out my guest blog post from Stupid Easy Paleo for Taco Salads! It’s one of my all time favorite recipes!

Taco Seasoning

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl and mix until combined. Store in an airtight container.
  2. Use 3 1/2 tablespoons per pound of ground meat (or to taste).
